Childcare for Classes
Childcare is offered for all daytime classes at a cost of $3.00 per hour.
Coonara is a registered childcare provider, staffed by experienced, caring and
committed childcare workers. Please indicate your childcare needs when enrolling
in a class.
Playgroup
Playgroup is an exciting opportunity to enhance parent-child relationships
and promote awareness, communication and playskills with an emphasis on FUN.
parents organise the program to suit their children and thus design the level of
structure they decide meets their needs.
Date: Ongoing
Time: Tuesdays 9.30am - 11.30am
Cost: $2.00 per family per session (no joining fee)
Parents need to bring snacks and drinks for their own children.
Kinderplay for 3 - 4 year olds
Kinderplay aims to provide an enjoyable structured program of activities that
are particularly suited to children in their pre kinder year. The varied range
of stimulating activities provided are designed to enhance confidence, self
esteem and the motor skills of this age group. Each session is conducted by two
experienced staff with parents rostered for fruit duty twice per term. Maximum
group size is twenty (20) children.
Date: Ongoing (two sessions per week)
Time: Mondays and Wednesdays 9.30am - 11.30am
Cost: $175.00 per term paid in advance
This is a self funding group - fees must be paid in advance to directly cover
the costs of staff and materials.
Limited vacancies are still available for 2000.
Enrolments are now being
taken for 2001.
Kidzfun
The staff in Kidzfun pre-kinder group prepare and implement an educational
and culturally appropriate program for pre-school aged children. The program is
semi structured, providing activities suitable for 3-5 year olds covering all
areas of development - gross and fine motor, cognitive, language and
social/emotional. Kidzfun is run by a Mothercraft Nurse and trained assistant,
who aim to provide a safe, healthy and stimulating environment for all children,
based on the needs and interests of individuals and groups.

Time: Tuesdays 1.15pm - 4.00pm
Cost: $140.00 term payment (10 weeks)

Occasional Child Care
These sessions are semi-structured with a variety of play and craft
activities for children from 0 to 5 years of age. Coonara is a registered child care
centre with excellent facilities and a range of play equipment. Each session is conducted
by qualified and experienced staff. Parents supply a sandwich, fruit and a drink - also
nappies and a change of clothes if necessary. Maximum group size is fourteen
(14) children.

Time: Monday to Friday 9.30am - 12.30pm
Cost: $12.00 per child

for second and subsequent children
Please note that bookings will not be confirmed without
payment. A regular place can be secured by payment in advance. If notification
of absence is given at least a week before a booked session, a credit will be
given for another session.
School Holiday Program
For two weeks each holiday and three weeks in January this program includes enjoyable activities,
excursions and free play time. Bookings begin the fortnight before the holidays. Call in
to the House the week before enrolment to collect a copy of the program.
Children bring their own lunch and snacks except on special cooking days.
Time: 8.00am - 6.00pm
Cost: from $10 – $25 per day (from 8am - 5pm)
(depending on fee relief)
$4 per child per hour
outside these ‘core’ hours.
Excursions extra.
